Harriman and HKMU LiPACE Sign MOU - Professional Training to Nurture the Next Generation of Property Management Talent

05 Jun 2026

Harriman Property Management Limited (Harriman), a subsidiary of Wheelock Properties, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU LiPACE) on campus today, establishing a strategic partnership to strengthen talent development and support the long-term development of the property management industry.

Under the MOU, both parties will collaborate on structured placement programmes for full-time Higher Diploma students, offering on-the-job training across residential and commercial properties developed by Wheelock Properties and managed by Harriman. The initiative broadens career pathways, attracts talent from diverse backgrounds, and provides selected students with opportunities to gain exposure across frontline operations and back-office functions.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Benjaman Chan, Dean of HKMU LiPACE, and Dr. Edward Lui, Assistant General Manager (Property Management), Head of Harriman.

Dr. Edward Lui remarked, “We are delighted to establish a strategic partnership with HKMU LiPACE. By integrating academic training and industry strengths, we aim to cultivate talent with both professional vision and practical capabilities, contributing new momentum to meet current demand and long-term development of the property management industry.”

Dr. Benjaman Chan added, “We place great importance on close collaboration with the industry. By establishing this partnership with Harriman, we can effectively integrate theory with practice and create a more in-depth and forward-looking learning experience for our students. The school will continue to devote itself to nurturing talent equipped with both professional knowledge and practical skills, in support of the sustainable development of Hong Kong’s property management sector.”

To further enhance talent development, Harriman has established the “Harriman Academy”, offering full sponsorship for eligible new hires to pursue the Professional Diploma in Property and Facilities Management (QF Level 4), jointly offered by HKMU LiPACE and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Property Managers. The programme equips participants with core competencies in areas such as customer service and facilities management, and provides a pathway to obtaining a Property Management Practitioner (Tier 2) licence. This initiative also reflects Harriman’s commitment to ESG by promoting upward mobility through education to achieve an all-win scenario.

Through this collaboration, Harriman and HKMU LiPACE will continue to bridge academia and industry, developing skilled professionals to meet the evolving needs of the property management sector.
